The proximity to the coast brings light into the vineyards, and the moderate temperatures ensure a slow and regular ripening period for the grapes - maintaining fresh acidity and aromas.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe winery has 13.5 hectares of vineyard in the Bolgheri zone. 6 hectares are situated in the northern area of the DOC called Le Sondraie – just a couple of kilometres from the coast and due west of Siena. Vines here are around 10-15yrs old and planted in the sand-silt soils typical of the region (vineyard acquired in 2016).\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIn addition they have recently acquired a further 7.5ha of vineyard (and a further 3.5ha to be developed) further south.
