Gentle extraction happens over 7- 10 days with a few pumpovers (no pressing occurs at all) and malolactic fermentation. Founded in 1879, in Naossa by Ioannis Boutaris the company set out with the aim of producing and trading quality red wine. Fast-forward to 1906 when they produced and bottled “Naoussa Boutari” one of the first Greek red bottle PDO wines to enter the Greek market – and one of the wines we have brought into the portfolio.
