Saumaize (formerly Domaine des Maillettes) is now run by Guillaume Saumaize, following the recent retirement of his mother, Annie. Tending to more than thirty parcels of vines (some up to 80 years old) spread across four renowned Mâconnais communes (Vergisson, Davayé, Solutré and Prissé), he produces fine Pouilly-Fuissé and a range of other Mâcon AOP wines.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIn 2018, supported by investment from Michel Gayot, a new barrel cellar was built giving Guillaume more flexibility to vinify individual parcels of grapes separately and thus express their terroir even more clearly.
