After 6:00pm, we may remain open if the space is being used for drinking in. This is subject to staff availability. Last drinks will be served at 8:30pm, with home time by 9:00pm. Closing time after 6:00pm is therefore flexible and we will close once all customers have left.
Do you allow dogs in the store?
Absolutely — we love dogs at Wenlock Cellars and well-behaved dogs are very welcome to join you during your visit.
To help keep things enjoyable for all our guests, we kindly ask that dogs remain under control, do not bark excessively or disturb other customers or their dogs, and stay off the furniture. Owners are responsible for any damage caused by their pets, and we ask that any damaged items are paid for or replaced.
Thank you for helping us keep Wenlock Cellars a relaxing and dog-friendly place for everyone.
Can I have a drink in the Shop?
Yes — you’re very welcome to enjoy a drink in store at Wenlock Cellars. We have an 8-bottle self-service wine machine featuring a regularly changing selection of wines for you to try and enjoy. The machine offers three serving sizes: 50ml tasters, small glasses, and medium glasses, making it a great way to explore different wines at your own pace.
To use the machine, you’ll need one of our reusable wine cards, available to purchase in store for £2.50. The cards can then be topped up in £5 increments (£5, £10, £15 and so on), giving you the flexibility to sample as much or as little as you like.
You’re also welcome to purchase any bottle from the shop to enjoy in store. A £5 corkage fee applies per bottle.
Can I reserve a table?
We don’t usually take table bookings, as we operate a first-come, first-served seating system. We do this to keep things fair and relaxed for all our guests, so everyone has an equal chance to find a good spot when they arrive.
That said, we can occasionally reserve a seating area for special occasions or larger groups. If you’re planning something, just get in touch and we’ll always do our best to help where we can.
Will you donate items or sponsor my charity event?
We receive a large number of requests for donations and sponsorships each year, and unfortunately we are unable to support them all.
As part of our commitment to the local community, we have chosen to focus our support on a number of local charities and organisations. However, from time to time we may consider additional requests where they are particularly relevant to our business or benefit our local area.
If you would like us to consider a request, please email us from an official organisational email account so that we can verify the legitimacy of the request. While we review all enquiries, we regret that we are not able to guarantee support.
