Ripe, juicy, crunchy red cherries and summery strawberries lead the way, with a gentle vanilla and spice structure supporting in the background. Drinking well now, but has potential for 5-7 years ageing after vintage.
Serve
Perfect alongside mushroom or bean dishes, with grilled steaks, duck, lamb and seasonal game all a great complement as well.

THE VINEYARD
“It was my vision to create a vineyard on a par with continental sites. I am really proud of the quality of vines we grow today.”

The first ½ acre was planted in 1983 by Martin Vickers.
By 1991 a further 22 acres were added and today the vineyard totals almost 30 acres, making it one of the largest in the UK.
Halfpenny Green Wine Estate is situated 250ft above sea level in well-sheltered south facing slopes, with light, sandy free-draining soil.
