Think you can taste the price tag?

Join us at Wenlock Cellars for a lively, fast-paced blind tasting evening where your palate is put to the ultimate test. This isn’t a formal, hushed wine class — it’s interactive, competitive, and guaranteed to spark plenty of laughs.

The Challenge

Across six rounds, you’ll taste two wines per round — one premium “posh” bottle and one budget “plonk.”

There are no labels.
No hints.
No clues.

Just swirl, sniff, sip… and decide which glass holds the expensive wine and which is the bargain buy.

Each wine is served completely blind (50ml per sample), and after every round we’ll reveal the answers, mark your scorecard, and share the story behind the wines. Expect bold claims, raised eyebrows, surprising results, and at least one moment where everyone questions their tasting confidence.

The Grand Finale

At the end of the evening we’ll crown:

🏆 Top Taster – awarded to the guest who correctly identifies the most wines
🥄 Chief Plonker – proudly presented to the brave soul with the fewest correct guesses

It’s all part of the fun — light-hearted competition, great conversation, and the discovery that price doesn’t always equal pleasure.

Attendees must be atleast 18 years of age at the time of the event. Anyone who is lucky enough to look 25 or under will require photo ID for the event.
