Taylor's Late Bottled Vintage Port (1.5 Litre Magnum) 2018 Vintage

Taylor’s helped pioneer Late Bottled Vintage Port, creating a high-quality, ready-to-drink alternative to Vintage Port. While Vintage Port is bottled after around two years in wood and develops through bottle ageing, LBV spends four to six years maturing in wood, making it ready to enjoy on release.

For its 2018 LBV, Taylor’s selected rich, full-bodied Ports from its own vineyards and other leading estates in the Cima Corgo and Douro Superior. The result combines generous fruit with the structure and elegance characteristic of the house.

Deep ruby in colour with a vibrant rim, the wine opens with layered aromas of strawberry jam, fresh cedar and resinous herbs. Subtle woodland notes mingle with leather and mocha, adding depth and complexity.

The palate balances rich berry fruit with a restrained, firmly structured character. Taut tannins provide definition and grip, carrying the fruit through a long, expressive finish.

Refined and beautifully balanced, Taylor’s 2018 LBV captures the elegance and finesse of the vintage, offering both immediate enjoyment and impressive complexity.
