Meet the Producer
20 years ago the Rheinhessen was where £3.99 Liebfraumilch came from. Today, there’s rock-star winemakers like Florian Fauth producing terroir focused, thunder charged wines from the same land.
Klaus Peter Keller is probably the iconic name you’ve heard of in the region, making no doubt utterly brilliant yet wildly expensive wines (think £3500 a pop). Well, Florian just so happens to be KP’s brother-in-law, and makes mineral laden, beguiling wines from his sustainably managed 17ha of plots in these same infamous vineyards around the town of Westhofen.
