The mashbill for Woodford Reserve features a high percentage of rye: 72% corn, 18% rye and 10% malt. The whiskey is also unusual for being triple distilled and having the lowest proof upon entering the barrel where it matures for at least six years. A must have Kentucky bourbon. Makes a wonderful Old-Fashioned cocktail!

Nose
Rich, thick, and creamy. Honey and warm spice lead, supported by leather, a touch of cocoa, light smoke, toasted oak, and silky vanilla cream with a hint of butterscotch.
Palate
Full-bodied and robust. Flavors of espresso beans and winter spices unfold alongside sweet cereal notes, pronounced rye, ground ginger, almond oil, toasted oak, and a subtle rum-like nuance.
Finish
Long, mature, and warming, with lingering cereal notes and gently toasty oak spice.
